How Our Icons Are Made

Prepared one by one

Our products are not made on an automated production line. Each piece is handled individually in our workshop, from preparation of the base to finishing, inspection and packing.

Materials and techniques

The base is selected and prepared according to the product. Depending on the item, the sacred image may be applied by hand with decoupage or another technique stated in the product description. A protective finish is then applied where appropriate. A product described as handmade is not necessarily hand-painted; the exact technique is always stated on its page.

Natural variation

Wood grain, colour, texture, positioning and hand finishing can vary slightly from one piece to another. These differences are part of individual hand production and make each item subtly unique.

Final inspection

Before dispatch, every item is checked and packed with care for its journey.
